You Don't Have to Eat it All

I realized that the days of finish everything on the plate are long gone.

I was out to breakfast the other morning with my daughter and a friend of hers. As it turned out she and I were going to order the same thing. I suggested that we split it, I wasn't going to eat a whole omelette and she wasn't either. It was the perfect thing to do, because I probably would have eaten more than I need to if not everything on my plate.

Her friend didn't even come close to eating half of her order of french toast.

The mentality of finish it all. Do it all. Get it all done is maybe not the right way to go. Working out in the yard past dark. Doing all the weeding. Over doing it until I become a wreck.

I don't have to do all my laundry on one day. I can do a load here and there. I don't have to do all the filing, get a good start and be happy. Stuff will get put away when it gets put away, I don't have to unpack my suitcase the day I get home from a trip.

I don't have to eat it all.
